The Beat Goes On - Gabor Szabo - The Sorcerer (CD, Album)

 · Included in the CD reissue are three excellent tracks ("Los Matadoros," "People," and "Corcovado") recorded at the same concert, which originally appeared on More Sorcery. The playing seems inspired, and the interplay within the group is something to behold -- even when performing lightweight tunes like "The Beat Goes On."/10(59).

 · referencing The Sorcerer, CD, Album, RE, RM, IMPD This is my first listen of a complete album from this great guitarist. I had heard a couple tracks on compilations but I final got a chance to buy this classic album and I was not disappointed/5().

  1. Gabor Szabo has ALWAYS had a unique way of playing Jazz Guitar and he really shined on almost all of his Impulse Recordings. On this Impulse release we find our Guitar Master recorded 'Live' in a intimate setting at The Jazz Workshop (Boston, Massachuesettes). The Compact Disc opens up a Jazzed-Up version of "The Beat Goes On", Plus Steller performances of: "Little Boat", "Space", and /5(33).

  2. The Compact Disc opens up a Jazzed-Up version of "The Beat Goes On", Plus Steller performances of: "Little Boat", "Space", and "Mizrabi". This entire Compact Disc clocks in at (Thirty-Eight Minutes) and I'm pretty sure MCA (Universal Music Group) could have came up with some Bonus Tracks and/or Alternate Takes from the 2 (Two) nights of recordings from this/5(33).
